If you think Easter chocolate eggs are just for the little ones, you’re wrong: in Melgaço, there is now a chocolate egg with milk, brigadeiro and Alvarinho Dona Paterna brandy. It is our latest novelty, in a partnership with the pastry shop Sabor do Céu. The bet was risky, but the result pays off: a product that combines flavor and tradition.
It is true that brandy is a spirit drink that does not please everyone, but paired with chocolate it is an irresistible proposal, at least the appearance encourages tasting. «We thought it was time to make new experiences and challenge the character of our products and, together with Sabor do Céu, we decided to try creating a chocolate egg, a very requested sweet at this time of Easter, but almost always associated with the younger ones. . This one is for adults.”, says Carlos Alberto Codesso.
The delicacy was made by Elisangela Castro who, being a brazilian, wanted to bring to Melgaço a tradition from her homeland, the very refined and stuffed Easter egg with chocolate. «In Brazil, the chocolate egg is one of the great symbols of the Easter celebration. Everyone offers chocolate eggs. Dona Paterna challenged me to create a sweet with alvarinho and I thought it would be excellent to bring this tradition here.”, says Elisangela.
Dona Paterna Bagaceira, milk chocolate, brigadeiro and lots of love and dedication are the ingredients of this delicious delicacy.
