The Melgaço wine brand Dona Paterna was awarded two silver medals in the fifth edition of the Sommeliers Choice Awards, in San Francisco, USA. The winning wines, in the category, were the 100% Alvarinho Dona Paterna 2022 and the Alvarinho Trajadura Dona Paterna 2022, with 89 points each, both produced in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, the origin of Alvarinho.

More than 1200 wines from all over the world were in the competition, being evaluated by sommeliers, wine directors, and wine experts in five categories: pairing, typicity, quality, value, and packaging.

The Alvarinho Dona Paterna is a classic wine. A nectar full of delicacy, freshness and minerality, with delicate White fruit, citrus, saline tones and flowers.
Ideal as an aperitif or of accompany seafood, fish dishes, or poultry dishes.
Should be drunk between 10-11ºC.

ALVARINHO TRAJADURA DONA PATERNA

The Alvarinho Trajadura Dona Paterna results from the harmonious combination of Alvarinho and Trajadura grapes. It has a citrine yellow color, elegante and mineral aroma and a delicate taste.
Ideal nectar as an aperitif or to accompany seafood, fish dishes or poultry dishes.
Should be drunk between 8-9ºC.
