Bagaceira Velhíssima from Alvarinho Dona Paterna was awared the diploma of honor, in the category Vinho Verde Brandy, in the contest “The Best Greens 2023”, an initiative promoted by the CVRVV (Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes).
These distinctions are the result of an enormous passion and will to know and do more and better. “It´s always a great satisfaction to see our products distinguished. It is the result of the work that our team has done and gone through in the eagerness to offer a quality product that meets, or exceeds, the consumer’s expectations.” say Carlos Codesso, the Dona Paterna producer, who has been working in the sector for about 50 years, confessing that “it was my adventurous spirit that led me to bet on brandies when no else had them”.
Remember that, in the 2022 edition, the brand saw its Aguardente Vínica XO from Alvarinho be awarded a gold medal in the Aguardente de Vinho Verde category, and also received the distinction of Honor for four of its products: for the Dona Paterna Alvarinho 2021, in the Vinho Verde Alvarinho category; the Dona Paterna Alvarinho Trajadura Escolha 2021, in the Vinho Verde Branco category; and in the Dona Paterna Aguardente Bagaceira Alvarinho and the Dona Paterna Aguardente Bagaceira Velhissíma Alvarinho.
The contest “Os Melhores Verdes 2022” highlighted 88 wines from the Vinho Verde Region, in 14 different categories.
