Dona Paterna presents itself with a new image

Our brand now presents a new logo and a new visual identity. The concept arises from the pleasure of opening a bottle of Alvarinho wine and being able to taste it with family and friends in moments of fraternization, joy, and friendship.

We bet on a renewed, modern, light, and strong image, as a way of following up and responding to the needs of our public, but also of the sector, which is increasingly demanding and competitive. The “coat of arms” that accompanied our brand since its birth, in 1990, “will never be forgotten, because it is necessary to honor the history and the relationship that has been created with our public over these approximately 30 years. With the new communicational reality, logos must also respond to new digital formats.”, says Carlos Codesso.

The new concept privileges the focus on elegance, represented by the quality of its wines; in historical tradition, recalling the monastery that gave rise to the name; and the care and refinement we have in handling the grapes and in the entire process that brings the wine to your table.

The new image was designed based on the junction of the letters “D” and “P”, the initials of the name Dona Paterna, resulting in a monogram. The spiral around this monogram symbolizes the act of opening a bottle of Alvarinho wine, revealing and valuing movement and harmony. «It transmits modernity, but maintains our history and values. », says Carlos Codesso, saying that this image was also based on «the bet on new products, in the medium-long term».
